KENDRA HARRIS

LA based Visual Storyteller & Director

With over a decade of experience, I craft authentic narratives across photography, documentary filmmaking, and brand development, always focusing on creating stories that resonate deeply. Whether producing documentaries that share untold stories, capturing intimate portraits, or collaborating on creative campaigns for global brands and organizations, my passion lies in connecting people through meaningful visuals and experiences.

My creative journey began in Third Ward, Houston, TX, where I began documenting life in my community with a 35mm Canon film camera. What started as an exploration of my neighborhood evolved into a passion for capturing real moments and uncovering the power of people’s voices.

I believe storytelling has the power to connect us to ourselves, each other, and the world. My journey has taken me to over 20 countries, where I’ve immersed myself in diverse cultures, learning from every story I encounter. This global perspective shapes everything I create—grounded in authenticity, empathy, and purpose.

Over the years, I’ve collaborated with nonprofits, brands, and individuals to develop narrative strategies and create impactful visual content across platforms—from social media campaigns to long-form documentaries. I thrive in roles where I can craft authentic stories that drive engagement, foster emotional connections, and spark meaningful change.

In addition to my creative work, I facilitate workshops like “Own Your Story,” empowering individuals—especially women and young people—to take ownership of their personal and professional narratives.

Creative Philosophy

At the core of my work is the belief that authentic storytelling can bring people together and create lasting impact. Whether I’m working independently or collaborating with brands and organizations, my goal is to create stories that spark real change, foster empathy, and leave a lasting impact.
