Fragmented Identity.
Am I ready for this? Do I belong? Is this who I am?
These questions—of self-doubt, transition, and self-discovery—are at the heart of this concept. The model's disheveled appearance—oversized clothing, shoes that don't quite fit, messy hair—becomes a visual metaphor for feeling fragmented, uncertain, and disconnected from the roles society expects of us. His ill-fitting shoes, both literal and figurative, speak to the growing pains of stepping into a new phase of life, and the discomfort of transitioning from who we are to who we want to be and the pull to want to hide.
The large shell he holds represents the search for something grounding—a symbol of solace and connection in the chaos, amidst the disorientation of growth.
These moments of fragmentation and confusion are universal. The awkwardness, the second-guessing, the stumbles—they’re all part of stepping out of our comfort zone and into the unknown. The journey toward becoming who we want to be is messy and uncertain, but it’s one worth taking. The act of embracing it, of holding on to that journey despite its challenges, is what gives it meaning.
